Meeting of the Initiative Committee for the foundation of the Croatian Association for the protection of industrial heritage. It is expected that the meeting shall be attended by representatives of various professions and institutions all over Croatia, interested in the protection of Croatian industrial heritage.

Beginning of Conference. Opening Address.

9:45 – 11:30 AM
Presentation of papers on theory and praxis related to Rijeka as a historical traffic crossroad between the Mediterranean and Europe.
Papers Discussion.

11:30 - 11:45 AM
Coffee Break

11:45 AM – 1:30 PM
Continuation in presenting papers on theory and praxis related to Rijeka as a historical traffic crossroad between the Mediterranean and Europe.

1:30 - 3:30 PM
Short trip by boat to the sites of port, shipbuilding and torpedo industrial heritage. Cold buffet will be served on the boat.

3:30 - 6:30 PM
Papers dealing with general topics from the theory and praxis of the World and croatian industrial heritage protection. experiences on the evaluation
and protection of industrial heritage in Croatia, europe and the World.
Papers discussion.

6:30-7:30 PM
Free time.

7:30 PM
Attending the performance in Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc, Rijeka.

Papers on protection and evaluation of the Rijeka heritage related to shipbuilding, submarines and torpedo. Discussion.

11:30 - 11:45 AM
Coffee Break

11:45 AM – 1:30 PM
Introduction by famous croatian expert conservator on general protection of cultural heritage and industrial heritage within that frame. Opening of the "round table" on present situation in rijeka and Croatia considering the opportunities and ways of evaluating the industrial heritage. Related short presentations to encourage the discussion.
Discussion.

1:30 PM
Conclusions by the Conference Organizer. End of the Conference.

2:00 PM
Short lunch buffet.

2:30-approx. 7:00 PM
Excursion by bus to the areas around Rijeka, where we can see the Caroline and Louise roads as heritage, railway road Rijeka-Karlovac, and some other sites of industrial heritage in the Gorski kotar mountains. Typical local food will be served.

Remark
The final Conference Program with speakers' schedule will be handed over to the participants during the registration.
